Meet the architects
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris began in 1989 to make architecture that is beautiful to look at and satisfying to use. AHMM design very different buildings, for very different people to use in very different ways. Although each project has the individual specificity that comes from particular needs and particular places and time, it is equally important that there is an underlying consistency which comes from the thorough exploration of continuously developing ideas.
AHMM’s success is reflected in the winning of many competitions and numerous design awards for houses, apartments, schools, sports and exhibition buildings, healthcare facilities, offices, schools, the odd bus station or art gallery and interesting hybrids of many of the above.
The AHMM team are: Simon Allford, Philip Turner, Jon Brent, Sam Harvey, Timothy Neville-Lee, Andrew O’Donnell, Marian Ripoll, Gesa Schenk, Nick Searle.
Work on KX200 began in May 2005, and required the AHMM team to re-think the traditional model of student accommodation.
